Traditionally, education has been a “top-down” process, in which government departments, academic management and often course writes, have dictated what is to be learned, how it is to be learned and for what purpose. The result of this approach has been an ever-increasing lack of recognition for the professionals who are on the “front line” of education, a de-motivated staff and learning community, and an over-reliance on the coursebooks.
Democracy and sustainability are not just words. This course has been designed to challenge the current hierarchical structure by promoting a culture of collegiality to organizational decision-making, fostering democratic practices in the classroom, and explores teaching practices and reflection.

The testing environment and approach our young people endure in today’s education is results driven and alien to practical principles of education. Learners are more focused on the grade they are given than on the grade they feel they deserve. Often learners are blind to how much their habits and attitudes undermine their chances of success. Through a collaborative approach teachers and learners can come together to develop a shared evaluation process that promotes educational resilience and autonomous learning.
This course intends to prepare you for an inspiring and flexible perspective on assessment and evaluation that allows for easily implemented customised policy for your learning centre.

The world is changing faster than ever before with more than half the current jobs that exist in the world being replaced with automation and labour-saving technology. Children today are growing up with an uncertain future and it is up to use as educators to do our best to prepare them for it.
In this course participants will get to know their learners strengths and weaknesses in terms of attitude and abilities alongside their achievements. By implementing a program of critical thinking,
collaboration, communication, and creativity into their lesson activities, participants will revolutionise their classroom teaching.
This course aims to build a positive school learning environment and to have an important impact on the quality of learning at your educational centre.

Preschool education is designed to prepare kids at an early-age on the road of their development. They acquire abilities and skills that will help them later in life. The older children get, the more restricted their education becomes until they are placed in an environment that demands academic skills over other equally important abilities.
This course takes a holistic approach to education and promotes a well-rounded approach to progress and evaluation and focusses on children’s intellectual, emotional, social, physical, artistic, creative, and spiritual qualities as being just as important as academic skills. You will be given the opportunity to discuss and reflect on ways to modify current teaching practice to make it more holistic and to create a project on how such an approach might be implemented in your learning centre.
