CLIL: Methodology and Practical Application

In this course participants learn the methodology behind content language integrated learning (CLIL) and its practical application. They are presented with the principles for designing their own material
and a range of CLIL activities that they can take back to their own classrooms. At the end of the course they deliver their own CLIL lesson to colleagues.

The course content explores complementary approaches using task-based methodologies, such as inquiry and project-based learning, in the context of Irish culture. In addition, participants gain some practical knowledge of teaching technologies available. The course examines both class and outdoor activities and takes place both inside the classroom and in local museums and art galleries.
